Vorteile:

Ich finde es super, dass man viele Möglichkeiten hat externe Karten zu installieren und Funktionen zu integrieren. Dies ist für die Luftbildarchäologie ein tolles Werkzeug, um Bewuchsmerkmale zu erkennen und zu untersuchen.

Nachteile:

Es wäre schön auf einer Website alle Möglichkeiten der Darstellung und externen Karten zu haben, ohne immer alles einzeln mühsam suchen zu müssen.

I’m using Google Earth Pro for more than two years. This is easy to download and deploy. Google Earth Pro consists of several key features that are really helpful for spatial analysts and planners to understand a particular location. For example, it provides a street view imagery of most parts of the world and users can have a real feeling about the place. Further, this software is having a facility to generate elevation profiles by adding two points to a path. Currently, some countries are having 3D building facilities too. My very first experience was identifying the locations using the search option. With time, I have used Google Earth Pro for various purposes. As a planner, I’m doing land use and landform mapping to identify hazard-prone locations. In that case, I’m using Google Earth Pro to identify land use categories and their changes using historical imageries. For landform mapping also I’m using this software to identify some physical features like escarpments, ridges, isolated hillocks, and slope types using the terrain option. This supports to import of various types of data formats including ESRI shapefile, Geo TIFF, kml, and images that are commonly used by spatial analysts. Further, this software is integrated with other spatial mapping software like ArcGIS & QGIS. For example, QGIS provides a plugin called ‘Send2GE’, which is linked with Google Earth Pro.

Nachteile:

Saving more placemarks, polygons, and paths to my places, directly affect the performance of the software.

Vorteile:

Making use of Google Earth Pro was a lot of fun. I enjoyed being able to travel the world from the convenience of my computer the most. I was impressed by the outstanding high-resolution satellite photography and like how simple it was to zoom in on particular areas of the program. Vorteile:

1. You can zoom in and out to any place on earth to have a close aerial view – cities, mountains, beaches, roads, buildings, and so on. 2. Start-up tips provide guidance – just in time. 3. Try different layers to have a different perspective of exciting places on the earth. 4. Search any place, creating an exciting animation for you to reach there. 5. In street view, you can see a 360-degree view of the location. 6. This app has a flight simulator, where you can fly f-16 or SR22. 7. You can copy the images or view the location and share by email. 8. With the Movie Maker option, you can record the animation. 9. With historical imagery, you can view a site developing from 1984 to 2022. 10. The search bar instantly takes you to the place with an aerial view at about 700 meters.

Nachteile:

1. Most visuals are unclear, perhaps not provided from the security point of view. Most images are apparent up to 300 meters in height only. 2. The toolbar and menu have several icons and settings that take time to understand. 3. You can also view the sky, Mars, and Moon, but there are hardly any clear images available. 4. Installation seems to be a bit insecure with a *.exe file. Alternatively, browser or mobile app options are also available. 5. Initial excitement tapers off after some time due to a lack of interface and explicit imagery.

Amazing map tool

Kommentare: The appearance of Google Earth is a real revolution in the world of maps, there has never been such a visualization of the world before, amazing that you can see the whole world without leaving your home, I use this application to see the property and the area, the application saves time and money before I go somewhere I can sooner take a look at the surroundings.

Vorteile:

I like many things, the way the maps are displayed, the zoom, the marking of companies and objects on the map and the ability to put your own photos, measurement of objects, thematic layers, historical photos, etc.

Nachteile:

The appearance of the application could be more modern because it currently resembles the design of windows 98.

good survey program

Kommentare: In the beginning, the use was only to know the sites and the way to them, but recently the most use has become to refer to old photos and try to know the changes that have occurred

Easy access to sites with updated maps, exits and entrances

Nachteile:

The ability to refer to old photos of the sites and take an idea or picture of the place, especially if there has been a major change in the site

Very user friendly high resolution satelite imagenary .

Nachteile:

Sometimes taking too much time to load the software.

GE Pro

Vorteile:

I use google earth regularly for work. My favourite function is creating placemarks then exporting and sending to my phone so I can locate when I am doing fieldwork.

Nachteile:

Sometimes this export function can not work entirely. Hard to actually get the placemarks on my phone app

Easy to navigate, high resolution graphics, helpful in locating nice places, lots of options to view places, ability to measure properties and distance of other places.

Nachteile:

So far so good, nothing negative. This app is really useful.

Applicability and flexibility of Google Earth Pro

Vorteile:

With Google Earth pro, what I most like is accurate Geolocalization, data exporte and import without major formatting.

Nachteile:

At least with Google Earth pro, we can make a good presentation of particular location especially in forensic investigation

Vorteile:

There is no better public tool for quick, high-resolution imagery. Global coverage is excellent, with most locations of interest available in high resolution and often with additional layers of data available.

Nachteile:

Some regions lack high quality and/or up-to-date imagery. This issue is especially problematic in densely populated regions in Africa, Asia, and Latin America where lower quality imagery is of little use for detailed work.

sometimes while zooming images get blurry and Sofware hangs frequently while on huge data.software crashes and loading issues.

perfect for finding sites

Vorteile:

this is perfect for my IT company as our techs have a lot of issues finding places etc with this it gives us a full view of the area 360 degrees our morning meetings are so much easier after we started using this I connect my laptop to the projector we check the sites and the techs love it I love the add a project feature makes our lives easier I create it for each area and the techs know exactly what's to be done at which site.

needs to be updated more often some sits and areas have changed alot
