You can achieve this by download the relevant profiles from the website and using a third party generic OpenVPN or WireGuard client, but it’s less than option for new users and you’re tied to the specific server you download the configuration for - meaning you cannot benefit from options like connecting to a random server or the fastest available within the chosen country. Despite the gripe described above due to the absence of automation features in the app, I still wholeheartedly recommend ProtonVPN.
