Easy to use platform for data management

Kommentare: As with all software solutions the purchasing and configuration process is just the first step. Companies should ensure that they also apply the related change management processes. Especially clear definitions of roles and responsibilites are important. If this is applied well Accurity will bring the value of insight about your metadata - even for medium sized buisnesses.

Vorteile:

Accurity is useful for all kinds of users - the related Business Glossary enables clear descriptions of all Terms used in your specific Industry / Domain. The Google Chrome plugin to search for related values on any website is a nice extension. But also expert users have various options to build their own metadata management and governance processes. The open API helps to synchronize important information within your overall solution architecture. This helps to keep one source of truth.

Nachteile:

A deeper integration of reference data management would be beneficial. The product is provided with full documentation but can be overwhelming if you have no preliminary experience with such software solutions.

Traffic data quality with Accurity

Kommentare: The Accurity application has been used in the full scope of its functions, from defining data structures, creating rules, aggregated rules and applying them over real data and thus overall data quality assessment. The mass import function of data rules was also used. This was an application over data on traffic operations in the road network of the Czech Republic.

Vorteile:

I am definitely very positive about the consistency and, in fact, the usability of the entire user interface. However, usability is related to the understanding of functions, processes resulting from the issue of data governance. I positively evaluate the functional interconnection of all data, conditions and other information entered. The possibility of defining global parameters, which significantly simplified the inserted attributes, proved to be very crucial for our task of traffic data quality.

Nachteile:

The created and used objects containing a long name cause some problems with clarity when using the application. Furthermore, I would see the ability to mass modify the success thresholds of rules as a practical feature. As less intuitive, I rate the options to select, filter, and view the results of the aggregated rule evaluations. Occasional errors occurred when importing rules in mass - this resulted in some rules not being created, while others were created despite an announced error.

Affordable, Solid Tool

Kommentare: On top of the tool being useful, the team at Accurity is great and will be with you every step of the way.

Vorteile:

The UI is easy to follow. I specifically like the business glossary which grounds all of your data work with terms that are fundamental to your business.

Nachteile:

The business term lineage can be frustrating at times. There are directional workarounds you have to learn, but a little more flexibility with two way relationships (e.g. Parent & Child designations instead of only being able to designate a term as a parent).

Quality control of data in transportation domain in Accurity

Kommentare: We use the Accurity app for quality control of data in transportation domain. We move in thousands of rules and aggregated structures, so it was necessary to design methodical procedures how to create rules automatically and then import them. The Accurity application made all this possible.

Vorteile:

Application clarity, excellent flexibility, for example by using global variables and the ability to import all structures and quality rules.

Nachteile:

I guess I don't have anything that really bothers me at the moment.

Accurity is very easy to use and you can easily find the important information.

So far I like everything I have used for my work duties.

Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication

Kommentare: Accurity offers one of the highest quality pack of services and capabilities in terms of Data Governance capabilities. It shines at use and ease of adoption, as long as the company also adapts it's process management in order to create a synergy with the platform. It is missing some control over the main activities & users but we hope it will be sorted out at a later time with the release of workflow engine. It has simple interfaces that are easy to pick-up and it will surprise you how flexible it is when creating the data models.

Vorteile:

Ease of use made our on-boarding with the platform a breeze. There are not a lot of major technical features that will create difficulties for the users, they are rather simple to start on and hop in the work. The activities are straight forward and have been adopted quickly by the business users.

Nachteile:

The data model will give a bit of hassle to the implementing team. As with every new platform, a terminology and user interface experience must be taught, but there some terms different than real world scenarios which caused some misleading. Thereafter, maybe a localization module would be advisable so that end-users feel comfortable in a familiar scenery.

Accurity PoC

Kommentare: Very good support and motivation from vendor. All questions and problems solved immediately.
We got even additional features, relised by our request only, during the POC.

Vorteile:

The softaware is very intuitive and easy to start using, it's cloud based. Very short learning time for business users and it looks nice and attractive. Especially the graphical diagrams.

Nachteile:

There were some performance issues at the beginning, which one were solved very quickly.
