Excellent AI based self learning app

Kommentare: It helps to communicate with international project client, stakeholder with much confidence.

Vorteile:

User can measure current status, ELSA helps user to give focus on learning on their weak areas. This is pretty much easy to use, just need internet connection. It can add values to business.

Nachteile:

It could be more useful if user can use it from web browser. In person coaching price is bit high whereas it is more convenient in HALLO app. I think there have no difficulties to integrate with business team, it will help to add more profit to non-native English speaking business team.

Pronunciation recognition - I really liked that I can say something and Elsa recognizes my mistakes and guves me guidelines how to improve it.

Nachteile:

The Continue button - it should be automatized, so wheb I click on the choosed word it should be move forward and shouldnt wait for me to press continue all the time.

The software needs amendment since it doesn't have a specified program for a student; it should give a clear timetable for the student about the program, for example; how many days the spelling requires, how many days grammar, how many days reading and how many days writing the writing requires.

Nachteile:

only adhering to one part of training especially the spelling discouraging the student

Helps me with the pronunciation a lot

Vorteile:

This software is very useful if you want to improve your pronunciation. You can hear the correct pronunciation for each sentence and compare it to yours. It's even possible to slow it down. The incorrect pronunciation is highlighted so you know where to improve. What I like the most: - Easy progress tracking / noticable progress - Different topics to choose from - Multiple fields to improve in (pronunciation, intonation, listening, word stress, conversation) - Difficulty levels - Business English - Affordable - Nice design

Nachteile:

Sometimes it seems to me that a word isn't recognized properly. The pronunciation sounds correct to me but according to Elsa Speak it's not.

Kommentare: I've been using Elsa for ten days now, and I'm an enthusiast! I wanted an app to improve my pronunciation, and I have found much more. I'm impressed by all the learning possibilities. Never in my life, I have been able to be consistent and train each day. Now, I do it, even more time than 20 minutes. It's fun and rewarding.

Vorteile:

I can get tracking of my pronunciation, fluency, intonation, listening, word stressing... And I can test all that. I get a fine perception of my improvements. Other things: high personalization level; the videos with the mouth position and the short explanations. It's so full of useful details and complete!

Nachteile:

It's not so clear how to organize my own content, but I haven't had the time to explore this possibility, yet.

My personal story of life inspired by Elsa ApP

Kommentare: I started using this app maybe 4 years ago. My pronoun Intuit was not at all good. I was at school then. And before preparing for my B2 Cambridge Test I started to feel concerned about how I sound in English. I used Elsa for checking different words and completing tasks. I mostly enjoyed this tests and progress charts. After using it I definitely became more confident in my voice. It’s impossible not to be confident when you see 98% success for a word. After this I passed my B2 and I entered the university to study at Ukrainian English Translation. At university we briefly learnt all this. And the knowledge I gained through books is not practised. So I really would like to get to speak more and getting a free trial for a month will boost my speaking. Thanks a lot for your work and help. you are a brilliant team and app-founders. #stand with Ukraine please!!!🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦

I really liked that you cans speak and obtain the immediate feedback. It would be even better to have more practise on every sound itself. To learn more from phonology. However it’s nice that you can do an instant progress just trying to find the perfect sound.

Nachteile:

I don’t like that I should pay, just because I am a student and I don’t have so much money on my own. Still I had several times bought 1month premium because I really enjoyed your app

A good app to improve pronunciation

Vorteile:

The most important function of this app for me is the correct recognition of sounds and the evaluation of how correctly they are pronounced (with recommendations for improvement). Of the apps I've tried, Elsa is the one that recognizes sounds correctly.

Nachteile:

Unfortunately, sometimes there are still problems with sound recognition. So you can continue to improve the engine responsible for speech recognition. Sometimes it is not clear what exactly is wrong in the pronunciation (not enough comments, how exactly to correct the pronunciation of the sound, how the language should be positioned, etc.) The app has added videos from Rachel's English channel, but sometimes it is not enough.

Best Speaking Practice App in the Market

Vorteile:

ELSA provides you real-time feedback on your pronunciation and teaches you how to fix whatever is inadequate. It’s is just perfect.

Nachteile:

The app is a bit inflexible when it comes to accents — native speaker accents — and also connected speech. Sometimes in spoken English some Ts are dropped for example. But if you drop them while reproducing a dialogue, ELSA will mark you for it. Therefore, it needs room to foresee variation of native speech.

English fluency starts here

Kommentare: I do like the way how this App evaluate what sounds or which pronunciation needs improvement. I like the quick assessment that creates a personalized courses and lessons for user.
Day after day using this App, I feel more confident to speaker English in proper way.

Vorteile:

It is so interesting App to start with to evaluating real English level then keep working on language skills on as Word Stress , Intonation, Fluency, and pronunciation to the perfection as native speakers besides the vocabulary and grammar.

Nachteile:

Actually, I have nothing to say in this section, I've found that app by chance and I do love it day after day.

Quite good but with some bugs

What I like the most is the ability to see our progresses as the days go by. I learn to have a very good pronounciations and fluency...

Nachteile:

But the league system is very not accurate... I mean, I used to play to have a good score until someone reach 40K points in 6 days... How this can be possible ??? Speaking like a robot or repeating sentences over and over again because the app doesn't recognize all words and syllable is boring and stressing... Sometimes, I have to quit exercice because it doesn't work properly even if I "force" my word to be clearer...

I liked one thing most it provides correction to even a single word when we are pronouncing it.

Nachteile:

Sometime software lags and won't able to capture voice it becomes irritating.

What else, Elsa?

Kommentare: Generally ok but, after a significant engagement, in the beginning, I felt like "ok... what else, Elsa?"

Vorteile:

I liked the general appearance of the app: beautiful and easy to use. the speech recognition function has been surprising the first time: it helped me a lot to understand that, even micro differences between sounds, can change the meaning and the effectiveness of my speech.

Nachteile:

After a couple of days, I understood that the "type" of exercises were almost the same 3-4. Different content, ok, but not having new kinds of exercises made the experience less challenging every passing day. I would prefer to access new exercises when reaching new levels of the "game". The speaking exercises, for example, after a while reading the answers purposed by the software, could become that I have to answer the question in the dialogue, inventing the sentences myself.

Vorteile:

The app is brilliant! It helped me to correct my pronunciation mistakes in few months. It never happened during my 10+ years of learning English in schools. I'm happy to get closer to the native pronunciation every day. I like the most the feature of selecting a certain word and exercising just it. The app is absolutely great!

Nachteile:

I do not find any cons so far. Maybe some integration with real teachers live could be introduce to enrich learning experience.

I can improve my English intonation and accent by using this apps. I can track my wrong accent very easily.

Nachteile:

it would be great to choose options of English accents like the USA, the UK and so on. This is because I’m studying IELTS and I want to improve speaking ability more. So, if you give me choices to study British accent or States accent, this app can develop more.
