There were issues we were seeing where our cronjobs were occasionally failing and there were no methods in place to automatically notify on these issues. Similarly, we also were looking for a solution to retry scripts if they failed, especially for tasks that were running overnight. If you require tasks to be scheduled exactly at a certain time, there could be several second delays before the scheduler will pick up tasks so that should be kept in mind.
