Long time Lightroom user (going on 10-years) -- it's a must have for any professional photographer

Kommentare: I have been a long-time user of Adobe Products and you simply cannot use anything else if you're looking for professional editing software. I pay for the premium monthly pack of the entire adobe suite, all the software plays nice with each other integrating useful features between them all. I love the libraries in PS for editing on repeat clients with tools and styles.

Vorteile:

I love that Adobe does useful updates when they update the software. I do love many features about lightroom, speeding up my workflow, consistent batch edits and once you learn the ropes, it's a breeze to use.

Nachteile:

LR just did a major overhaul to their masking and it has been a major upgrade to the previous masking tools. So far I absolutely love it and it is already saving me so many previous headaches in time with masking objects/subjects. I wish they would work on their heal too, it is clunky, slow, and should work more like content-aware in PS, but I'm sure it will eventually get there. :) Nothing that would keep me from using the software.

Lightroom for that Professional Graphic Edits!

Kommentare: When it comes to purely graphic editing, using Lightroom is much easier than using Photoshop, for the latter is most appropriate in graphic manipulation.

Vorteile:

What makes me grow fond of Lightroom is that as I do freelancing photography, it allows me to edit the photos I've taken in batches, thus making the job easier and efficient. The presets also allows me to create a consistent mood and theme all throughout the photos for a certain events so it really appears professional looking.

Nachteile:

Although it is a really good software, Lightroom, like any other Adobe products, needs a substantial dedication and time for you to learn it. Anyone who has no background in using Adobe products will probably be easily confuse with all the icons and tools therein so I don't think it is that beginner friendly.

Soooo buggy

Kommentare: I have been using LR since LR 1. I loved it for years. The move to cloud based functionality while understandable from a Developer-support position has been expensive and extremely frustrating.

Nachteile:

I'm using a new Mac with 16 Ram, just loaded my first job so this Catalog is SMALL and it is very hard to work It wont even hold a filter selection so its basically useless.

Adobe Lightroom Rocks

Kommentare: I absolutely enjoy using Lightroom with a majority of my images being edited with this software.

Vorteile:

I use Lightroom and Lightroom classic on a daily basis as a professional photographer. There is a small learning curve to Lightroom but once you get the hang of it, you won’t want to use anything else. I love their software.

Nachteile:

I can honestly say the only thing I don’t like about Lightroom is the learning curve.

A must have for all photographers

Kommentare: I use LR daily for my photographer activity and i couldn't do it with an other software. It's a must have.

Vorteile:

LR allows you to edit your pictures as you want it to. It gives you really fast render. The AI tools are insanely good. The sorting tools allows you to handle your picture sorting as you want to directly in the application.

Nachteile:

A bit complicated to understand all export options, but once you get use to it and make your templates properly it's a one click export.

Creative Alliance Review

Kommentare: Overall, lightroom has been our go-to software for final retouching the photos and we also use it for making LUTs for videos. It is a simple and easy to use software and has helped us a lot in out weekly works.

Vorteile:

Along with easy and simple photo editing, making LUTs is also very simple in lightroom. Convenient to save time for editing photos. Various filters and abundance of functions are an added bonus.

Nachteile:

One of the cons of Adobe Lightroom would be the pricing for Adobe products as a whole. Only talking about Lightroom, there are certain limitations to fully editing photos, for which Photoshop has to be integrated.

Lightroom is the affordable, go-to application for Photographers.

Kommentare: It is a great all in one editor, especially for editing large batches of photographs. It is the industry standard on that front.

Vorteile:

It is very powerful editting software, at a really competitive rate. It also integrates nicely within the Adobe ecosystem, especially working well with Photoshop.

Nachteile:

Takes some getting used to, especially how the files are imported vs loaded into Lightroom for editing.

Lightroom is a foundational component to my photography workflow

Kommentare: Lightroom makes my workflow so much easier as a photographer, and I can't imagine using or recommending another software to other photographers.

Vorteile:

I've been using Lightroom for over ten years, first as a photographer, and now in my career in communications and marketing as well. The majority of how I use it is in my photography "side hustle" where I shoot portraits, weddings, and landscapes. The importing and file organization is excellent, and I love the rating system as well.

Nachteile:

The clone stamp tool leaves something to be desired- I wish it was more like the one one Photoshop.

One of the best for Novice editors

Kommentare: I work for a small waste management company, and I recently convinced my company to invest in a DSLR. This is used for all my content gathering at work, however, the CyberLink software which came bundled with my camera package was just plain horrible. Upgrading to Lightroom was a lifesaver, the ease of use, and flexibility allow me to quickly edit, add watermarks and output photos.

Vorteile:

Ease of use and more lightweight than Adobe Photoshop while maintaining most of the key features that beginner editors would require.

Nachteile:

Subject detection does not always work as well as I would like

The most under-utilized and underrated Adobe product IMO

Easy to use, follow the same setup as other creative cloud products

There are slight differences between how this works and Photoshop works that took a second to get down pat (I tend to work quick and use shortcuts in these programs)

Kommentare: My overall experience with adobe lightroom was amazing as I like image editing a lot. I have produced some of the premium-level edited photos just by working a few minutes on the software. All thanks to adobe for making my editing experience great and giving me results which directly helped my business social media pages to grow with better content.

Vorteile:

The best thing about the software is that it works on Android devices which makes it more handy and efficient. The editing tools which lightroom has are extremely powerful and are capable of giving you the best results. There are real-time editing tools like masking and animations. The best thing I liked about the app was inbuilt presets recommendations which will give you premium results even without much efforts.

Nachteile:

The premium of the app is a little costly which can be difficult to afford for newbies and it has a huge variety of editing tools so they will also need to take a professional course to understand working on this app. Some time app crashes by itself and shuts down without any reason. I think this is something in which adobe should work on by removing these small bugs for a better user experience.

Premium Image editing software

Kommentare: I had a fantastic experience with the app as I do lots of image editing work and need professional-level tools to work on high-definition images. The app provides me a platform to create content and these contents are used for posters and online ads for my business. All thanks to adobe lightroom for giving me some pro-level image editing experience.

Vorteile:

The best thing about the software is that it has premium-level image editing tools like masking and Image optimizer. One feature which I always use is the recommended presets that lightroom provides, they are so amazing that you won't need to do anything and lightroom will do all the work by recommending self-edited presets and trust me all of these presets will be worth exploring.

Nachteile:

Everything is great about the software but the main problem is its price. It is a high-cost app if you buy it's premium and also the windows version is a little difficult to understand as it has lots of professional-level image editing tools and it will take a lot of time for a user to get comfortable with the software interface.

Great for Batch Editing & Quick Edits

Kommentare: Lightroom used to be all I used for editing images before I was introduced to the power of Adobe Photoshop's actions (both on the Adobe Creative Cloud), but nevertheless, Lightroom is great for quick edits and batch editing. I can't possibly do the finer detailed edits on hundreds of photos from an event, so that's where Lightroom comes in handy. I can still have quality image edits through Lightroom and simply use my favorite shots from the event to do more of the labor-intensive edits in Photoshop that give more of the "wow" factor. In that way, both Lightroom and Photoshop complement each other very nicely.

Vorteile:

I really like how quick and easy it is to use Lightroom. I've used it now for around 11 years and really enjoy the ease of use. In my opinion, it's a super easy software for beginners to learn from versus Adobe's more recognizable program, Photoshop. One of my favorite features with Lightroom has always been the easy-to-save presets. You can adjust the vibrance, saturation, highlights, and other features to your liking and save the settings under a preset that you can return to later. This makes it super easy for batch editing and for quick edits you need to make to an image.

Nachteile:

The features are lacking compared to Adobe's other program on their Creative Cloud, Photoshop. Photoshop has about everything you can possibly think of to tweak an image. So many times, I will edit my images first using foundational presets in Lightroom, then, I'll take my favorite photos from the bunch and spend more time on them using the more detailed features in Photoshop. Another con is the loading time. Maybe it's because I have a number of files saved on my Lightroom or because of the numerous saved presets...whatever the reason, the load time takes pretty long for Lightroom versus other software programs I have on my desktop.

Powerful Photo Editing Software

The only software I use as a professional photographer

Kommentare: Adobe Lightroom is my all-in-one solution for my work as a professional photographer. It offers many options (Import-Editing-Export), and it's way easier to use than Adobe Photoshop. Batch processing is a key feature when it comes down to editing a lot of photos at the same time.

Vorteile:

Adobe Lightroom is easy-to-use, importing hundreds of RAW photos is fast, and the editing process is much more intuitive than Adobe Photoshop (especially batch processing). Sliders are used to edit the photos, which makes it a breeze to experiment and develop a fast workflow. Exporting the photos into smaller Jpegs for web usage works great too.

Nachteile:

I have the impression that Adobe Lightroom is the reason that slows down my iMac. It takes quite a long time to start the software. Once you add a lot of photos to a catalog, it even gets worse. Therefore make sure you have enough RAM/storage space on your computer.

The fully fledged photo editing software for every photographer outhere

Kommentare: i've been using lightroom for almost 7 years now, and never ever has it failed me, they update it on regular basis, it's always easy to handle, it gives me the freedom to edit every single aspect of my photos, i always recommend it for every photographer out there.

Vorteile:

You can control every single aspect of colors on your photos, create presets or even import ready made ones, you can adjust every single light and shadow on your photos as well as the color wheel of the shadows & highlights, you can also batch import and edit, create your own settings and save them to a catalog, edit on the go from your mobile, it's always synced and backed up to the cloud, so you can access your photos anywhere and anytime.

Nachteile:

Nothing to dislike except the prices, it's a bit expensive when it comes to single software use if you're only using lightroom, however you can get an offer bundle if you get it with photoshop, or with photoshop and illustrator

Lighten your room using Lightroom!

Kommentare: Lightroom allows you to organize your pictures in a great way. It is effective when it comes to editing your pictures. It is characterized by its seamlessness, especially if you want to toggle from desktop to your smartphone, without losing the work you were working on.

Vorteile:

One of the best features I love about Lightroom is the built-in file management, it helps you categorize and organize your files. Another thing that I appreciate about Lightroom is that it has a non-destructive editing feature that protects your data files from getting corrupted. Lastly, Lightroom is easier to use than Photoshop, even non-tech savvy people can use it.

Nachteile:

One of the things that I don't like about Lightroom is that it has no layers or bend modes. It is also limiting when it comes to editing features.

Lightroom, tried and true but tiring monthly subscriptions.

Kommentare: Overall, I enjoy Lightroom. I would probably still be using it to this day if it weren't for the mandatory subscription service.

Vorteile:

It's Lightroom. Adobe has set the bar for all photo editing software with Lightroom. Optimization is great for just about any PC I've ever used and it's downright reliable for users from any level of experience.

Nachteile:

Monthly subscriptions. I've used Lightroom for years, well before the subscriptions started. It's hard to justify paying for the program every single month when I don't use it often enough and there are other programs without subscriptions that work just as good.

Simple RAW photo editing and exporter

Kommentare: Overall I honestly couldn't imagine doing any kind of shoot photography without it.

Vorteile:

The time saved using Lightroom to batch process photoshoots and to create consistency across different photos within a shoot is immense. The editing is fast and efficient, the depth of adjustment for RAW images is brilliant and I can't imagine doing any kind of shoot photography without it. Non-destructive editing is so brilliant as well, allowing for multiple styles of edits in the same shoot giving clients a chance to quickly see what style suits them.

Nachteile:

Its not as optimised for Macs as it feels it could be, and there are some quirks in short cuts that take getting used to.

Favorite Photo Editing Tool

Kommentare: The features in Lightroom have grown so much over the past few years. The whole workflow and editing of photos is quick and easy. There are many creative options now as well as tools for touch-ups. I also really enjoy the monthly membership model (paid yearly) which allows me to always be using updated software.

Vorteile:

I've used Lightroom for the past 10+ years and the available features for photo improvements just keep getting better.

Nachteile:

I wish there was the ability to export photos in CMYK.

Nice functionality, needs to work in unison with other programs

Kommentare: Overall, Lightroom is great for portrait and landscape photo editing, although I feel it works best in connection to Bridge and Photoshop. This way, you get an overall solution for your editing efforts.

Vorteile:

In terms of photography as a hobby and specific niches (landscape, portrait), Lightroom is still one of the best tools out there. It has powerful features, it's relatively easy to use compared to Photoshop, and it's easy to edit and adjust photos during the workflow. I also liked the tagging options in Lightroom. Image Library is by far one of the better features of this program, and very easy to use.

Nachteile:

Although great for editing of certain photos, Lightroom is, I find, still lacking in some other features. For starters, brushes for editing sometimes exhibit certain bugs, and it gets frustrating to adjust them. Additionally, I think I would like to see at least some sort of primitive layers in lightroom, separated from the brush adjustments, I think it would make things a lot easier.
