A great and capable video editor, with flexibility and ease of use.

Kommentare: Overall, Adobe Premiere is a great video editing program and is fairly enjoyable to use. As long as your hardware and other specs are up to what they should be, there are minimal stability issues, and it performs pretty great, in my experience. I've tried several other video editing programs, and Adobe Premiere has remained my program of choice for several years now. The ease of use and getting started, the ability to customize my interface into a layout that works really well for me, and the ability to handle multiple types of media types without issue are just some of the features that I love. There is a large community of users that is easy to get support and tips/tricks from, as well as Adobe's support, which have always been responsive and helpful for me. While there are things that it could do better, as a whole it works really well with my workflow and video editing requirements.

Vorteile:

I really like how quickly I can get started editing with this program. I edit a lot of short form, fairly simple videos, and I like how I can just open the app, import my media, and get started. There's not a lot of hoops to jump through, and not a lot of setup that needs to be done just to get going. I love how easy it is to import a wide variety of media types. I rarely have issues with all the different types of media I work with. I love how quick and easy the timeline editing tools are, and using the keyboard shortcuts to quickly move back and forth and get a quick edit together before refining it further. The interface is also pleasant to work in, and not overly crowded or cluttered.

Nachteile:

I often wish that the keyframe editing window and workflow were though out a little better. I find it difficult to use and get them accurately placed and edited without some frustration most times. The keyframe workflow in After Effects is so much better and easier to use, and I feel like the workflow in Premiere is just so much more tedious then it needs to be. I also get frustrated with the audio mixing interface and workflow. Working with audio plugins and automation always gives me issues, and using EQs and compressors and what not are mildly frustrating at best. I don't understand why they can't lay out a mix window the same way that almost everyone else does. I get that it's not an audio program, but audio is a major part of video editing, and it shouldn't be this difficult to get a good mix inside the editor.

The All in All video editing software used by millions

Kommentare: When i first started using premiere pro, it was very confusing, it took sometime to learn all the features, shortcuts and methods, but by time everything became clear and just when you open your library you just know what to do, where to get it from and how to do it, you start using new things and trying new methods, then you become somewhat of an expert and won’t take time for you to edit videos.

Vorteile:

The freedom it gives you in editing frame by frame, the audio syncing with the video, the most efficient editing timeline, the color grading features, color scheme wheels are very accurate, the content library full of templates, animations and transitions.

Nachteile:

I have a very high-end pc that i edit videos on, and if you’re editing a long video jt surely does take a long time to render. It sometimes take hours to render a 5 minute heavily edited video, understandable but keep that in your mind.

Powerful and easy to learn video maker

Kommentare: I was worried that it would take me weeks to learn how to start being productive on this software. After a few short video tutorials I was working and productive that same day!

Vorteile:

You can get started editing videos very quickly with this software. You do need to do a little bit of the tutorials to get started but in no time at all, you are easily editing videos.

Nachteile:

The cost of Adobe pro is a little higher than some others. However, like most Adobe products, it offers a lot of features. If you just wanted to make a single or a couple videos though, you may be better getting a cheaper and less powerful system.

Industry standard, but shouldn't be the default choice.

Kommentare: I use Premiere as a badge to demonstrate my company is on par, if not exceeding industry standards. Often times, I mention we use Premiere. I never commit to saying we ONLY use Premiere. Most of our work is performed on Final Cut Pro. Our results are always above expectation. When a client asks for working files, I lower the boom on them about FCPX. Often times, they're flummoxed that anything other than Adobe Premiere could create that level of quality output.

Vorteile:

The biggest advantage of Premiere is the acceptance of it as the industry standard. Mastering Premiere is more likely to land you jobs, gigs, etc and establish your credibility as a seasoned editor. Doesn't necessarily mean it's the best editor on the market

Nachteile:

Adobe is notorious for overcomplicating simple steps and actions. Layer upon layer upon layer of diving into specifications of a specific piece of footage/animation/etc becomes tedious and time consuming. I liken it to Adobe = Windows vs let's say Final Cut Pro = Mac. One is more hierarchy-based organization that lacks in usability while the other accomplishes the same tasks quicker and more efficiently BECAUSE of a focus on user experience.

The Industry based video editing software.

Kommentare: Adobe Premiere Pro provides a feeling of being a Professional video editor. It is worth the pricing.

Adobe Premiere is a Standard Industry Video editing tool. Easy tobuse, you can learn video editing in few days and become a Video editor.

Nachteile:

Consumes memory space on your PC. Exports videos in large size of data, might need to compress output with a good video compressing software.

My Editing Home

Kommentare: With years it has gotten better, no more crashing, and the features it keeps adding save me a lot of time. I can do more in less time.

Vorteile:

I can do some editing that would take me long in a really short amount of time. It keeps adding new features from time to time, providing tutorials to start using them right away.

Nachteile:

One thing only; exporting transparent animated gif. I could never find the best settings to get a decent file.

Amazing software, besides the price

Kommentare: Adobe Premiere Pro is a great software if you can afford it.

Vorteile:

All of the features an functionality of premiere pro is amazing. Whenever I don't know something it's super easy to find a tutorial online for it too.

Nachteile:

The price. All of Adobe in general is very pricey and I really wish it was more affordable. Take advantage of the free trials while you can.

Premier to edit like a pro

like the whole creative suite, its interface is very friendly. I like how it integrates with several programs and formats.

requieres a super powerful computer with a lot of ram.

The Right Program to Edit Like A Pro

Kommentare: I have used the program to professionally edit videos for a large business and use in our eLearning courses and LMS system.

Vorteile:

Powerful program that allows you to have almost endless control over your videos.

Nachteile:

There is a steep learning curve at times.

It’s a great program with tons of capabilities plus all the basic stuff you’d expect from a video editor.

Nachteile:

The learning curve! Compared to CapCut or Final Cut Pro this is difficult to a level, in my opinion that’s unnecessary.

Expensive, But Worthwhile If You Need Video

Kommentare: Learning Premiere Pro has been a steep learning curve, at a high cost in terms of time and money (relative to other digital subscriptions) but it has been useful to have the option to produce professional videos, or at least as professional as I am able to with where my skills are at now, with obvious room for improvement.

Vorteile:

The positive aspect of Premiere Pro is simply that it is the real deal in terms of video editing. With it it's possible for even a beginner to produce somewhat professional-looking videos, at least so far as basic features like transitions go. Even early on in the steep learning curve, there are features such as automatically removing reverberation, echo etc which improve audio quality considerably, at the touch of a button. There are plenty of advanced features which realistically only professionals are likely to ever use (or perhaps even to understand). It is, after all, the professional suite which has the market share of professional Creatives.

Nachteile:

As video editing is only a small part of what I do, this software is very expensive. It is by far the most costly of my software subscriptions, yet I use it less than others. If I used it any less, I would cancel my subscription and opt for alternatives which only require a one-off purchase. But, again, Premiere Pro has the market for professional video editors. I wish they would have a kind of half-subscription, with limited features or limited numbers of exports per month.

Probably the best product if you need more than basic features

Kommentare: I have tried several times alternative applications, but I have to admit that I always came back to Premiere Pro. When I tried other applications, at some point I was confronted to some limitations, where Premiere Pro wasn't. If you only need basic editing tools and don't edit regularly, you'd better acquire another product that you'll pay once and will be cheaper than Premiere Pro. But if you want to go a bit further in the editing and be sure to have almost all the tools under the hand, I'll highly recommend to use Adobe Premiere Pro.

Drastic changes in the general layout sometimes (But only when main updates occurs, so not so often).Still expensive unless you have a regular use of it.

So, talking about the things i like most about this software are, first of all it has a wide variety of format support so you can easily edit video in almost any format. Although there are no things which are bad in this software , but if i have to point out something , then firstly , adobe now only have monthly subscriptions and we cant purchase the software for lifetime unlike past times and secondly as premiere pro is a very advanced software so it can be difficult and time consuming for new users to get used to it.

The ONLY tool you need for Non-Linear Editing

Kommentare: After making the switch from Final Cut Pro a few years ago, I can happily say that I'll never look back, especially with the Adobe Creative Suite's new optimizations for Apple Silicon-based Macs.

The connectivity between the entire Adobe Creative Suite is something I really underestimated until recent years, and can easily say this has doubled the speed of my workflow.

Nachteile:

Sometimes I have issues with opening projects in Media Encoder from within After Effects / Premiere Pro, but other than that - no issues!

A great video editing software for pros, not so great for newbies

I absolutely hate the User interface and user experience. This software looks and feels complicated and I get a headache just looking at it. When I was deciding between this and Final Cut Pro, one of the major factors in my decision to stay with FCP was that the interface is clean, simple and even beautiful. PP's is complicated, bulky and anything but beautiful. I'd go as far as to call it ugly. It feels discouraging and impossible to figure out when looking at it. The other side of having so many tools at your disposal is that it's complicated to find what you need because there are so many.

Adobe Premiere Pro, an ideal video editor for any Youtuber

Kommentare: Personally, after testing this video editor for so long, I have become very used to it, I like what it has to offer and it almost always does everything I ask for, sadly it doesn't allow me to create presets in some aspects like audio mixing, but generally, we can customize many functions of this video editor. I use other Adobe software regularly so the investment in Premiere Pro is less expensive, maybe it is not the best video editor, but it is a very good one and you will always find a tutorial to create what you have in mind.

I like Adobe Premiere Pro, it's a highly powerful software and I can always achieve great quality in every project I do in this video editor, sometimes I imagine Adobe Premiere as a sandbox, I can always create something from 0 in this video editor because it allows me to build and develop all aspects of a video or major post-production without the need to have to resort to other software to complete my idea. I personally believe that Adobe Premiere Pro is the ideal video editor for people who are familiar with photoshop and enjoy it because just like with that photo editor, the possibilities with Adobe Premiere are endless.

The Adobe Premiere Pro interface is disgusting, it's full of many menus and divisions that sometimes we will not use or simply aren't useful for our workflow, we can edit the video editor view, but at first, it looks very saturated and this makes us wonder where to start. We can only buy Premiere Pro if we pay the subscription to the Adobe suite, so if we only want to use a video editor, it can be expensive and not suitable for all budgets. So I would only recommend Premiere Pro for the multitasking editor who likes the workflow of the Adobe software and who can take advantage of the whole Adobe bundle

Every time a new version of the software is released, I look forward to downloading it from Adobe Creative Cloud, because I'm sure there is a great feature in each new version that will save you time over time. The feature that helped me a lot is saving the project automatically. In the event of forgetting, power outages, or device malfunctions, Adobe Premiere saves your project every certain period of time determined by the user. Keyboard shortcuts saved me a lot of time to finish the project, they are a treasure for the user's time. To conclude and be honest, I do not dispense with this program and do not expect that I can live without it.

The advantage of D3 compared to Adobe After Effects is weak , I wish this feature was as strong as Adobe AE. Because I use a lot in the program to write, Adobe Premiere Pro does not provide many types and shapes of beautiful fonts compared to Adobe Photoshop.

Kommentare: Not knowing anything about editing I felt a bit lost at the beginning using Premiere, but it eventually got under my skin and actually presented as a good practice base for learning by doing. So even tho the UI feels cluttered at first it eventually opened all the functions needed for effective editing to me and I started to like it and using it with ease.The good thing is it does not push you into any "trendy" editing as other editors might presenting and focusing on "the one feature which is hip now.

Vorteile:

The consistency of editing style and approach is great. Even if I learned using Premiere 15 years ago, I still am able to use it today - only discovering new features. But the basics are still the same. Only better.

Nachteile:

The workspace setup is strange and sometimes I close some of the editing windows and there is a way to open them separately, but looking in the menus where to find them is tedious. So reseting the workspace is quicker (but also embarrasing :) )It also does not give you realtime preview on a weak machine and there was no "quick preview render" function.

Great, but not perfect.

Vorteile:

You pretty much either use final cut, resolve or Premiere....we pay for Adobe so logically Pr was the way forwards. I know how to use it and for the features I use daily I can do anything without having to actually think about it.

Nachteile:

Rendering....anyone who doesn't mention this hasn't used the product. Depending on the project, it can take forever, especially if using 4k footage. For me, the con is just one of those things I have to do now though. I set it rendering a large area and go stick the kettle on.

Wouldn't use any other NLE

Kommentare: Since final cut pro stopped making pro NLE's I think this is the best option out there.

Vorteile:

I use Adobe PP for everything, from podcasts to audio dramas, it is my go to editing software and I think it works great and is affordable when bundled with CC

Nachteile:

sometimes it does crash, so I recommend staying away from the most recent version.
