Über Adobe InDesign
Cloudbasiertes Tool, das Unternehmen Tools zur Erstellung von Grafikdesigns und zur Optimierung von Marketingvorgängen bietet.
Photoshop gets all the attention but Indesign is the unsung hero of the print design world. It doesn't get the viral tutorials or talked about much but it's the real money maker in my opinion.
The expense and Adobe's inability to play nice with operating systems has always been a pain, and an expensive one.

Adobe InDesign User Review
The Holy Grail of publishing
Vorteile:
Indesign is a part of Adobe Suite so it can integrate with other Adobe programs. I mostly use it in conjunction with Photoshop and Lightroom. Indesign also feature many customizable layouts to create beautifully curated print designs.
Nachteile:
Large files can become an issue if you don't have a computer with sufficient storage space. Also, because of the large files, exporting can be very time consuming. External storage may be necessary.
I use InDesign on a daily basis
Kommentare: I use InDesign almost every single day of the week. Have been very happy with all of it and InDesign help is very good at helping me to solve and learn new avenues of creating.
Vorteile:
I love Adobe InDesign and honestly don't know where I would be without it. I love being able to seamlessly import and export with other Adobe products and also being able to create just what I need
Nachteile:
Nothing to report on this. Love InDesign.
Industry Standard for Professional Publishing, but Costly for Small Businesses
Kommentare: Despite the cost, InDesign remains my top choice for high-quality, professional publishing. For those who need top-tier tools and work on larger projects regularly, it’s worth the investment.
Vorteile:
Adobe InDesign is my go-to for complex and detailed design projects in my genealogy and family history business. It’s an incredibly powerful tool with virtually unlimited options for layout, typography, and customization, making it ideal for crafting professional, detailed templates that I sell to clients. The learning curve can be steep, but once you get the hang of it, the flexibility and precision are unmatched. InDesign shines with its extensive export options and seamless integration with other Adobe products like Photoshop and Illustrator, which are essential when working on intricate projects across multiple platforms. That said, Adobe’s monthly subscription can get pricey, especially for small business owners who don’t need the full suite every month.
Nachteile:
Expensive monthly subscription and a steeper learning curve for beginners.

The standard for layout designing and publishing
Kommentare: I love InDesign, I've been using it almost all my life. But it as time goes by it is becoming more and more outdated. Although there are new softwares more capable in many areas I'm not switching because InDesign it's the standard
Vorteile:
It is the most complete software for publishing and layout designing. Once you are used to it, it is capable almost of everything. There are many feature to automate repetitive task which are super convenient.
Nachteile:
It is becoming outdated. I find annoying the fact that you cannot open a document generated with a newer version of InDesign. Launching it is super slow even though it is not a demanding resources program. There are not many tools for digital publish layouts, and the ones that it has are outdated.
Experienced designer's go to for print design.
Kommentare: I've been working with Adobe InDesign since it came out and have always been impressed. I've used it for years creating for both print and digital for everything form 300 page books to business cards and flyers.
Vorteile:
InDesign is the ultimate tool for laying out designs that are a combination of images and copy and is particularly great for text-heavy designs. There's a little bit of a learning curve because some of the features are more advanced, but this is what makes InDesign great - you have more design flexibility, more tools for consistency, and better layout tools.
Nachteile:
I really like everything about InDesign.
Great Software, But Rather Complex
Kommentare: Like all Adobe programs, InDesign is incredibly powerful and robust...almost TOO powerful. It's got a lot of little intricacies you likely will never use or need...If you do, great--they're there! But if you don't, them it's just more buttons and tabs and windows and options for you to have to dig through in order to reach the features you DO use. Still a million times better than trying to layout a document in Microsoft Word though!!
Vorteile:
It's very powerful and can do a ton of things. After using InDesign, and being able to customize so much of my graphic design and text, I now prefer to use this over most programs, including Microsoft Word. The guides are always helpful, ensuring that my elements are evenly spaces and aligned properly. I love being able to easily copy an entire page and all it's elements, and then rearrange things while still in the same document so I can see how a design progresses as I tinker with various elements of the layout and end up with several variations and options. The program is capable of so much, and I'm always continuing to learn more new and helpful tricks.
Nachteile:
1. The cost. Thankfully this is paid for by my employer, because I wouldn't be able to afford to use it otherwise. It's also rather annoying that I don't have the option to just outright purchase a license to OWN. No, like most other software these days, you can only "lease" it, paying by the month. This program does not have enough major updates to truly need access to the latest version. I could work from an older version quite happily. 2. FONTS. I don't know what the deal is, but I always have issues with the fonts, and regardless of how many times I waste my time, reconnecting each font style when I open a document, I inevitably have to do it each and every time. It's time consuming and cumbersome, and considering the fonts are installed directly in my computer's font library, I don't see why it has such an issue. I could possibly understand if I were only using font's from Adobe's library on the cloud, however, this particular font is installed. 3. The fact that I cannot easily change the color of an icon with a cover overlay or something similar. It's a minor point, but as icons have become so popular lately, they are featured in almost all of my documents and layouts. The only way I've found to do it thus far is a messy workaround that involves using the Inner Glow feature, and changing about 6 different but specific settings in order to change the color of the icon. It's a bit of a hassle for a task that feels rather basic. 4. My user view/layout. You have the option to customize your own layout, which I have done...and yet the layout CONSTANTLY gets reset back to the default....and my custom one has disappeared, so I don't even have the option to select it any more! Given that experience, I haven't bothered to create a new custom view because it seems futile, since it'll continue to be reset with each update, AND I'm not confident that view won't mysteriously disappear like my previous one. 5. Not the most intuitive. Its complexity is both a blessing AND a curse, and if you use a lot of other Adobe products, it'll look familiar and you'll be able to identify a lot of the buttons and figure things out. However, new people will likely have a bit of a struggle learning their way around. Also, there's SO many features that a lot of them area tucked away, "hidden" in various drop downs, buttons, options, etc. It's hard to remember where things are if you don't use them very regularly. It's difficult to truly learn the whole program. I've been using it for 13+ years, and I still feel like I'm just mediocre with it.
InDesign is Essential to our Business
Kommentare: Overall an incredible piece of software, the industry standard for creative layout design
Vorteile:
InDesign is an essential tool that we use every day to get our work done! Simply the best
Nachteile:
It does have a steep learning curve if you are new to it
A must for any design professional
Vorteile:
Adobe InDesign is the number one desktop publishing application and seemlessly intergrates with all the other Adobe applications
Nachteile:
There are occasionally some very minor display bugs.

My indispensable layout king
Kommentare: the overall experience is better, Indesign is a software that has been able to adapt to my desires, today I can create an ebook layout in a few clicks, so if I can't let my imagination grow, that's the limit of indesign.
Vorteile:
Synchronized assembly of content: Shapes, images, text
Nachteile:
What I like most about indesing is the higher price list.
Adobe InDesign is a Great Program
Kommentare: Overall, Adobe InDesign is an effective program that allows me to accomplish what I need.
Vorteile:
Adobe InDesign is perfect for creating posters and flyers for the business.
Nachteile:
One downfall is that there is no photo editing allowed in InDesign which would be helpful when I need a quick edit.
Still Worth Every Penny
Kommentare: I am more than happy with Adobe InDesign. I love that Adobe is constantly innovating, which makes me feel content with the subscription model. For a few years I had been more comfortable with the idea of purchasing actual software (back when it came in a physical box!), but the hassle of having to buy new software every couple of years got old. In this technology age, we as professional designers have to stay on top of innovations, and Adobe keeps the tools updated so I can in turn innovate in my creative field.
Vorteile:
I have been using InDesign on a daily basis ever since Adobe donated software to my student-run college newspaper in 1999. That donation opened the door to exploring a world of print layout that I never knew existed, and eventually led to a career in graphic design. InDesign is the main tool in my tool belt, and without it I would have a different occupation altogether. Some people like to complain about the price point, but when you consider a) the value it provides creatives as a tool b) the innovation required by Adobe over decades to produce and constantly refine the software, and c) the lack of a comparatively robust or functional alternative for the design professional, it's a wonder that it's as cheap as it is.
Nachteile:
I wish InDesign had a chart-making tool. Illustrator has one, but it is in dire need of updating.
InDesign Review
Vorteile:
What I like most about using Adobe InDesign is its precise control over typography and layout, allowing for intricate, professional-grade designs. Its seamless integration with other Adobe applications ensures smooth collaboration and a comprehensive creative ecosystem.
Nachteile:
What I like least about Adobe InDesign is its resource-intensive nature, leading to occasional slowdowns, especially when handling large files. Additionally, the software's complexity can be overwhelming for novices, often necessitating extensive training to harness its full potential.
InDesign has become the workhorse of typesetting software
Kommentare: Used InDesign for many years, both before and after the Adobe Creative Cloud subscription platform. An excellent program, always improving.
Vorteile:
Ease of use with printing companies when creating printed materials...consistency of design between the online view and the final printed piece. An industry standard.
Nachteile:
The learning curve is steep, mainly because it is such a complete program that there is a lot to learn. Some formatting issues when placing text created with Microsoft Word.
The best of the best
Vorteile:
Adobe InDesign excels in professional layout and design, with robust typography and text control. It offers seamless integration with other Adobe Creative Cloud apps and provides efficient page management. Its versatility caters to both print and digital publishing, allowing for customization and automation. InDesign is a powerful tool, enabling the creation of visually appealing and well-structured designs.
Nachteile:
n my experience, I found that Adobe InDesign has a steep learning curve, requiring time and effort to master. It can be resource-intensive, particularly when working with large documents. The subscription-based model might not be suitable for users on a tight budget. I also noticed that InDesign's vector editing capabilities are somewhat limited compared to dedicated software like Adobe Illustrator. Collaborating on projects can be challenging, and I encountered occasional software instability. However, despite these challenges, I acknowledge that InDesign remains a valuable design tool for many users.
Great product for all design needs
Vorteile:
No designer could be without this product! It has all the tools and options needed to create a wide variety of marketing materials as well as graphic design assets.
Nachteile:
It can be hard to use and take a while to learn to become quick, for example using shortcuts.
InDesign is the best
Vorteile:
It's by far the best desktop publisher out there
Nachteile:
Literally nothing! I live in InDesign all day-every day at work, and I love it
Indesign beginner
Kommentare: It was difficult to pick up but once I did it was a really useful platform
Vorteile:
It’s perfect for formatting catalogues with the margins making it easy to replicate on the pages and keep it cohesive
Nachteile:
It was difficult to get the hang of in comparison to other Adobe platforms such as photoshop or illustrator
Expensive but powerful software for designing portfolios
Vorteile:
Powerful software that takes a lot of the busywork out of publication by doing it automatically for you. Keeps swatches nicely organised so you can keep a coherent design throughout.
Nachteile:
There are quirks to it that work completely differently to other adobe products. They should be more transferrable than they currently are. For instance, resizing images should work the same across the adobe suite but it works completely differently in indesign.
Powerful design tool
Kommentare: Good experience, but I do not recommend these app because of its price
Vorteile:
It is a tool with very professional features. It is aimed at graphic designers. Although the options it presents are endless and some of them a little complicated, it is an application that is generally easy to use.
Nachteile:
Probably the worst thing about this application is its price, since you have to pay for a subscription that is quite expensive
Fantastic design product
Kommentare: Love it! Be determined to learn it and things getting faster and easier to use, the quality of outputs within our workplace has significantly improved since using InDesign. The way the Adobe apps interact with each other is powerful also, so if you do use Illustrator and Photoshop you will love the compatibility when used together.
Vorteile:
Even though it took a while to learn it's features, the effort paid off as now I wouldn't be without it. The features and quality of the outputs far exceed many online tools.
Nachteile:
Switching from Word to InDesign to create covers, reports and programmes etc, was time consuming due to the functionality being completely different - it required dedication to learn the software properly.
The premier design tools for print media
Kommentare: Overall InDesign has been a crucial tool for delivering print media for our clients.
Vorteile:
The feature to properly layout page designs for print media, have multi page designs in the same file and easy integration of other adobe tools like illustrator.
Nachteile:
The user interface is a bit complicated for beginners.
An Industry Standard piece of software that stands well above any 'free' software
Kommentare: I use ID to create publications, company documents for clients, social media images and many documents ready for print.
Vorteile:
As part of the creative suite, it's just the right thing to use for setting, design and publications. There's really nothing to compare it to. Automatic updates are great and keeps the software moving forward
Nachteile:
Nothing really. It does what it should all the time
Perfect for Graphic Design
Vorteile:
Adobe InDesign is a great tool for designing catchy graphic designs and larger-scale creative projects, such as posters or journal templates, and it's a great tool for creating professional layouts. Very easy to use once you've learned how to use the tools.
Nachteile:
Adobe InDesign is a little expensive, especially compared to free design tools like Canva that offer many of the same features as InDesign.
Takes a while to learn but can do some cool things
Vorteile:
In design makes it easy to format and modify the appearance of a page or document. You can make the page interactive and easy to view for the end user
Nachteile:
Navigating in design takes a while to get the hang of. There are also different ways to access the same feature through the menu or side bars. YouTube and Reddit were helpful for learning ways to do things like make a fill able form on a website
Publishing leader fir a reason
Kommentare: I don't mind learning to work with a tool and InDesign is simply the best publishing tool.
Vorteile:
Working with layers. Easy switch between wsiting and preview mode. Font management with Adobe.
Nachteile:
UX powerful but not intuitive. Other marketers in my team prefer using Canva for that reason.
