Excellent application to create professional publications for your company

Kommentare: My experience with Microsoft Publisher is quite good, we are doing excellent with this application.

Publisher Needs Major Updating

Kommentare: For many years, I solely used publisher to create any kind of marketing materials for my office. It was one of the few desktop publishing programs. In recent years, I have switched to Canva, due to it's ease and vast array of capabilities.

Vorteile:

Microsoft Publisher was my go to for creating marketing materials.

Nachteile:

Functionality doesn't usually improve much with each new version.

Publisher provides a great deal of templates that can be used in manipulated to fit the needs of whatever project you may be working on.

Some of the content seems a little bit dated and old. There are faster and better programs available online, as well as Microsoft Word tends to work as good, if not better than publisher.

Kommentare: Overall it is a user-friendly application in documentation. It helps me a lot in creating my documents in my day to day work.

Vorteile:

This is a user-friendly application compared to other apps considering document management where I can save progress ( on PC or cloud) and continue later. Files can be stored and saved in a variety of formats as per the company's requirements. Multiple people working on the same project can easily edit the document by giving permission to access it. Document search is also accurate. Searching for texts makes easier since it can find even if the text is misspelled.

Nachteile:

It does not support the latest features. Some Features can be added compared with other desktop publishing software referring to typography.

Kommentare: I really enjoy using Microsoft Publisher for creating and designing. It is simple and easy to use and helps me to create nice brochures, flyers, invitations, etc...

Vorteile:

I like the feature of using the entire workspace. I can keep images, text boxes, and other items available for use as I design and create. The drag and drop feature of the workspace is easy to work with.

Nachteile:

Sometimes connecting text boxes gets a little confusing when the text extends longer than the box.

Great in its day

I used to use this product every day when I was designing or mocking up my own artwork or newsletters.

Nachteile:

It is now outdated and replaced by better free online software.

I've been using Microsoft Publisher since I was a student, so now that I'm in a professional role managing content for our nonprofit, I still default to it when Canva or other Microsoft Suite options aren't doing what I need. I can easily use all of the functions, it's very easy to troubleshoot, and we were able to get it at an unbeatable price.

Nachteile:

It's certainly lacking some of the more refined features of other Microsoft software options but it's easy to take an existing design and make small changes without the most feature-heavy alternative.

Easy to use. Conveniently makes page boundaries and makes it easy to see how items will look after folding (ie for trifold pamphlets).

Microsoft Publisher: Essential

Kommentare: overall I have had a fairly good experience using publisher. There is only a select few things that I choose to create on publisher over other Microsoft platforms. One being business cards or posters.

some of the functions seem to be dated, making it difficult to format things to look newer

In comparison to other softwares it lacks a lot of features. Many - even free - apps have more options, often even easier to use.

So you can custoize the selected templates for you presentation.Let's say it's much more creative than other digital production tools.

Regarding storage capacity, it usually takes up a lot of space despite being a basic and simple program.

Incredibly useful

Kommentare: I had to make a flyer to a customer presentation once and I gave it a chance. The best recommendation I can give you is to try it and make up your mind on your own.

Vorteile:

It is just like Microsoft Word. Easy to use and extremely handful but in this case it has its own layout and tools. Nevertheless, you don't need to be a nuclear scientist to become a pro. Just maybe 5 to 10 minutes of your time.

Nachteile:

The image and word setup sometimes It can be quite challenging to get the prefect image and word setup sometimes.

A Good Product for Basic Content Creation

Kommentare: A good product overall, which is usually purchased together with other Office products. I do really like Word and PowerPoint, which helps in moving over to Publisher. I've printed out wedding invitations and bulletins, and they turned out well.

Vorteile:

It is pretty easy to use, especially for those familiar with Microsoft software. There are enough options to help you create solid material.

Nachteile:

While there a good amount of resources at your disposal, I tend to find Canva to be a little better. I feel more comfortable in editing within Publisher though.

Kommentare: It helped me make a lot of professional looking flyers for open houses. However it was really time consuming. Luckily for me someone else does this for me now.

The design capabilities. I can make really pretty greeting cards, or very professional looking flyers for real estate events.

Nachteile:

How difficult it was to figure out all the ins and outs of the application. Personally I did not find the "help" function that helpful.
