FortiGate Firewall Good but change price policy for client access!

Kommentare: Around 4 years I am very happy. Bu due to changed price policy Fortigate, I will advise our customer chose other VPN software to work remotely.

Vorteile:

Very easy to implement and VPN client access was free up to 10 000 users.

Nachteile:

About upgrade the system, I mean upgrading the firmware by means online around one year, not success. The offline update was succeeded which was very disappointing.

FortiGate is amazing as long as you know how to use it.

Kommentare: It is exceptional. For the enterprise space, there is nothing better.

FortiGate is THE enterprise solution. It has all the features that you would possibly want and more.

Nachteile:

The price and the deployment. It is not a simple solution by any stretch. The price is worth it for the features, but if you are not at the level then rather look elsewhere.

More than just a firewall

Kommentare: Overall, I can't say enough good things about the FortiGate. The documentation is from Fortinet is good enough that you can typically find instructions for whatever you're looking to enable or configure. Additionally, the SSP VPN has been more stable and reliable than our old VPN.

Vorteile:

We are making use of most of the FortiGate's features including the IPS, DNS Filter, Web Filter, DLP, and the SSL VPN. Fortinet offers good tools like the FortiAuthenticator and FortiClient EMS that integrate with the FortiGate.

Nachteile:

We have run into high memory usage and conserve mode a couple times. Sometimes Fortinet will release a new firmware, and once we upgrade, we will start running into memory leak issues.

Vorteile:

I like below services on FortiGate and which it becomes better from others, 1. IPSec - We can connect multiple site to site. 2. SSL VPN - We can establish the connection between client computer to organization network through FortiGate firewall.

Nachteile:

There is no such as negative points as per my point of view.

Kommentare: Overall Fortigate is an excellent device.

Vorteile:

Lots of features for the cost, reliable and easy to manage.

Nachteile:

The level 1 support can be spotty in quality. Once you past level 1 support is very good though.

Review of FortiGate 51E & 60D

Vorteile:

1:- Provide smooth SSL VPN connectivity 2:- Good Content Filtering 3:- Site to site connectivity 4:- Suitable for all business need (Small, Medium & Large enterprise) 5:- Reliable & Durable product

Nachteile:

1:- We are using this product since 2016 and till now we are not find any Cons

Network security device - NextGen

Kommentare: Remote access is simple and the included client works with MacOS Windows and IOS devices. The level of security works well for most clients and the authentication with AD/LDAP makes the solution easier to deploy.

Vorteile:

Best part is the ability to manage from a centralized automated control console. Due to its robustness and power it compete the market.

Nachteile:

Single point of customization with our all need.

FortiGate Firewall

Kommentare: In general, Fortigate is the best option I found for my small business. I was able to implement it quickly and did not require extensive training, in addition to the amazing support community for Fortigate users. I highly recommend it, especially to small business owners who cannot afford expensive competing products.

Vorteile:

I was looking for a Firewall product for a small business and I tried a competing product for FortiGate but it didn't fit. However, in my opinion, FortiGate is the perfect solution for small and medium businesses. FortiGate has a very competitive price, and what makes it different is its modern, attractive, and user-friendly user interface.

Nachteile:

What I found annoying is that some features require a separate license, While these features in competitor companies are among the basic license.
