Easy and Useful

Kommentare: Fast and easy editor for any major purposes of writing , editing or summarizing.

Vorteile:

Easy to deploy,Easy export to other file formats,pretty intuitive workflow, doesn't mess up the layout while inserting images or other external files.

Nachteile:

Limited choice of templates, the ones I saw look like documents from 80's Had some limitation in terms of presentations and logos, printing layouts are different from what the display is showing and need to be adjusted manually.

Great software that rivals the costly & unnecessary Microsoft

Kommentare: Great! Got used to it very quickly and I could never go back to Microsoft. After using pages for years, Microsoft seems like a stone-age software (and an expensive one at that!)

Vorteile:

How easy it is to use, the great templates, the overall product design (with the vibrant colours and informational icons) and the fact that it is free!

Nachteile:

Might need some more functionality, although I have never really needed any other softwares that Apple doesn't offer for free to its clients!

Good but could be better

Vorteile:

Works well with the basics and does everything you would expect from a word processing software

Nachteile:

If you're used to Microsoft Word, it can be hard to get used to Apple Pages. The layout of the controls can be confusing and it's hard to navigate around for beginners

Included with my MacBook Air

Kommentare: Overall, Pages works how it should and it has very useful templates.

Vorteile:

I like that Pages is included with my MacBook Air. Many years back when I had a PC, I was used to their word processing program and it was an easy transition.

Nachteile:

It took a minute to get used to it but after 2-4 uses it came naturally.

Solid alternative to Word

Kommentare: I have been using Pages ever since I got my first Mac computer, I was very satisfied with it as it is free and very easy to use and it is a free alternative to those who cannot invest in a yearly subscription but already have a Mac

Vorteile:

- Can open and most importantly edit Word documents without the need to purchase a subscription. - Free to use on MacOS and iOS - Stylish templates

Nachteile:

- Sometimes when opening Word documents, certain elements might disappear or be displayed oddly requiring the users to tweak the Pages document. - If you ever need to send a documents, directly sending a Pages document to someone can be risky if they open it on Word. I would recommend sending your Pages document as a PDF or trying to view how it looks on Word before sending it for something important like customers or University work. - Wish it was also available on iCloud.com for non Mac users.

The best but flawed alternative to MS Office

Kommentare: Despite the bugs, it is my best tool to work on Mac and iPad.

Vorteile:

It is simple. It is quick. It is reliable. It is easy to access. Pages is a useful tool for quickly creating and editing documents. You can easily write a letter, design a document, and share it with your iPad to continue working on it later.It grew in its functionalities and is getting better and better with years.

Nachteile:

It is still missing some functionalities or those features are limited in comparison with MS Office, the tool Apple claims to be the successor to with iWork Suite. Sometimes Pages crashes due to iCloud syncing problems, I suppose. To embed fonts is not possible or fonts used on Mac are missing then on iPad when one wants to continue ones work there. Sadly.

A nice note taking app

Kommentare: It’s very nice and I would recommend it to everyone that need to write and edit notes. It’s free and it’s complete

Vorteile:

I like that it’s completely free and I can have it on all my devices so I can edit my files from everywhere.

Nachteile:

The thing that I like least about Pages is the fact that you can’t customise the tool bar but it’s premade

Simple Word Processor

Vorteile:

The user interface and share features are extremely simple to use and easy to find.

Nachteile:

There is a learning curve to using Pages if you are more familiar with other word processors.

Endless possibilities for document creation

Kommentare: Myself and my team have used this within the apple device to create documentation and designs that we use in our workplace.

Vorteile:

It's such a comprehensive tool that has many features For my creative team to Edit and develop impactful documents.

Nachteile:

A little bit of a learning curve if you're not familiar with apple product.

Easy to use, a must for students & others too.

Kommentare: Pages was great. I took notes in college and even wrote papers on it.

I love having all my Apple products. Pages is easy to use and has helpful hints along the way if you are stuck.

Nachteile:

At first it was very difficult to get used to since I always used word.

Apple Vs the Other Bigwigs

Kommentare: Overall, Pages and other iWork apps are a great competitor in the document and office application war that has been ongoing since the office world shifted from pen and paper, to computerized writing and counting. Give it a try! Apple lovers claim it’s far greater than Microsoft or Google’s versions. I tend to use all of them from time to time, moving to one after the other for different uses and reasons.

Vorteile:

When compared with the other great document editing/office software tools, like Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Google Workspace (formerly G-Suite; Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)... Apple iWork, which includes Pages, Numbers, and Keynote, is certainly one of the top competitors in the race! Against these major, billion dollar contemporaries, Apple shines through with distinction, diligence, and decadence! It is certainly much sleeker than the standard white-wash design of the other opponents. It’s interface is modern, like all Apple products, and it’s user-friendliness is unparalleled!

Nachteile:

Versus the other major office software companies, as aforementioned, Apple iWork, and especially Apple Pages, does have a few cons that prove against it in the race for best document software. Apple Pages is not extremely useful in terms of user-collaboration. Google Docs and Sheets here win the prize, as it was the pioneer of collabs on a single document and still is at the head of the “multiplayer” doc editing game. Apple Pages is also pretty basic in terms of detailed, articulate document and spreadsheet editing and utilization, Word and Excel here takes the cake.

Not quite InDesign or Affinity Publisher, but a great free alternative.

Kommentare: If you're creating simple documents, or even media-loaded ebooks on a Mac, Pages is really powerful software considering it's free. It even streamlines uploading ebooks directly to the Apple Bookstore. And for not being professional software, it's giving Affinity and Adobe a run for their money.

Vorteile:

If you use a Mac, the tight integration with the OS is a dream. We also enjoy the rich Ebook export features. We just finished a digital press kit for a client with embedded photo carousels and music and found that recipients of the ebook version were more likely to respond because of the experience. And putting that experience together was much easier than professional software from Affinity or Adobe.

Nachteile:

Well, Pages isn't professional software and lacks advanced integrations (like Adobe Bridge) with all your connected brand resources. Calling the photo picker loads the local Photos library. Music picker loads the local music library, etc. I haven't used the software with MacOS Server, so I don't know if that changes things.

Easy way to access all of your documents on Apple products

Vorteile:

Ease of use and the ability to retrieve documents from another apple device.

Nachteile:

They do not have a whole lot of shortcuts like Microsoft, but I love it regardless.

Writing made fun again

Kommentare: My overall experience with pages is a wonderful experience. I love the simplicity of the design the overall aesthetic how it looks nice and just simple however, it’s still a very powerful writing tool.

Vorteile:

As a writer who is written stories on and off for a good portion of their life, I must say that pages was a big help and my creative process I like the collaboration tools that they were introduced within the last couple years, as well as the layout, the fonts, and the way that you can set up the tools inside of pages to your advantage for writing

Nachteile:

I would say the only thing that I have to complain about with pages is the fact that when you’re writing a story, and then you bring the story down to the size to be printed in the book, the spacing is not always correct

The best alternative out there

Kommentare: In my opinion it is a great alternative to Microsoft Word, if you have Apple devices, it is the best option. A simple program, but well thought out. One of the best word processors on the market.

Vorteile:

It's a great word processor, it's simple but intuitive, it has all the necessary tools and features for everyday use, and the interface is clean, minimalist, and easy to use. Integration with the entire Apple ecosystem is a great addition. The mobile versions are very well optimized, which helps a better adaptation. In conclusion, it is a great word processor.

Nachteile:

It has very few weak points, perhaps it needs to optimize the web version of the program, but it is a simple program and very well thought out, it has enough and that is enough.

Easy to use multiformat documents!

Kommentare: I could not be more pleased with Pages. I have written so many documents, letters, and presentations utilizing this tool.

Vorteile:

I really loved the different options available. You can pick a letter template and customize that. You can create a newsletter and customize each of those templates. There are report options that work great for white papers... the choices and customization is almost limitless.

Nachteile:

I absolutely love this product. My only wish is that formatting was a little easier, it can be tricky to indent and position text exactly where I need it without throwing off other sections.

Page up, Scrolls down

Kommentare: Overall very positive. Recently, I have been working on call sheets collaboratively on a film. My colleague can feed me information over the phone on the go and I can change it. And she can do the same. We can also work on the same document at the same time. Amazing.

Vorteile:

I love the simplicity and collaboration features of pages. It’s very easy to learn to use and extremely simple and fast to share and collaborate with others.

Nachteile:

It’s not for pc users. I understand why Apple does that but I don’t like it. Pc users can use the browser version but I’m not sold on that just yet. It still seems like a “work around”

Your Apple Document creator

Vorteile:

It's lovely that this software creates all document format. It can also serve as a security feature leaving the document in the format it was designed with rather than exporting to work, excel etc.

Nachteile:

Due to the versatility of windows, documents created with pages without conversion will not be accessed on windows.

Pages is intuitive and allows me to get to writing.

Kommentare: Overall excellent, it would be my go-to document created, if not for poor integration.

Vorteile:

Pages is simple and functional with most functions I need when I need them.

Nachteile:

Pages does not integrate editing functions like Grammarly, PerfectIt, or Outwrite. It lacks the ability to add line numbers to documents (needed in depositions, dissertations, and scripting).

Pages are the best for the ones that are on the go

Kommentare: still using it to this day and always will its one of the best I have ever used

Vorteile:

its easy to use, and easy to understand, its just like using Microsoft word, and its very easy to share things from other programs to pages

Nachteile:

some of the updates weren't that great, and there are a few bugs whenever an update comes out doesn't always tell you it needs an update till the last min

Great app for creating documents

Vorteile:

Clean style of the app creates a good feel as you use it. Simple to use, and quite intuitive. I appreciate the variety of features it offers and it’s great for what is needed. Easy to collaborate with teams, and leave notes.

Nachteile:

I have not encountered something I dislike about the app. At times can be a tricky when non-Apple users have in their computers, but more on the design (font style) aspect of it. It is still possible to them to view it and use it in their own device.

Pages

Vorteile:

Easy to use word processing tool which enables users to create and manage documents. It’s toolbar enables us to edit & format the document to our liking as well as insert tables, charts and so on in order to enhance the document.

Nachteile:

I haven’t found any issues with the software as yet.

A Good Word Processor

Kommentare: I use Pages to write proposals, invoices, to do lists, and scripts - it is part of my daily workflow. I enjoy it thoroughly!

Vorteile:

It's easy to use - and if I don't know how to do something, I can quickly search online for tips. I've used a few of the templates, especially the invoice template

Nachteile:

I wish that pages docs didn't have to be exported to be readable by my Microsoft Word using colleagues. That is the major downfall of Pages
