Vorteile:

Mit Affinity Photo kann man sehr viele Dinge machen. Der Smart Pinsel funktioniert sehr schnell und zuverlässig, man hat aber trotzdem noch die Möglichkeit selber zu bestimmen, was genau man möchte.

Nachteile:

Mit dem Update auf Affinity Photo V2 sind die einen Funktionen, die ich oft nutze, nicht mehr so griffbereit wie vorher.

Die wohl beste Alternative zu Photoshop

Kommentare: Ich arbeite viel und gerne mit Affiinity Photo, der Wechsel weg von Adobe war für mich eine gute Entscheidung.

Vorteile:

Dieses Programm hat bei mir Photoshop ersetzt, denn es bietet nahezu identische Funktionen, kommt aber ohne das lästige Abo aus.

Nachteile:

Wie bei jedem Programm muss man sich am Anfang ein wenig einarbeiten. Dann funktioniert alles bestens, nur mit manchen alten PSD-Dateien hat das Programm Probleme.

A good alternative to photoshop

Kommentare: Nevertheless, I love affinity photo, I use it daily and I've learned to work with its problems.It's an affordable piece of software, and since version 2, it's been offering some particularly interesting features.It doesn't yet compete with Adobe Photoshop, but it's getting closer.

Cheap and effective solution to editing RAW and PSD files

Kommentare: Had a great experience with Affinity I still use it from time to time for my marketing graphics for my car dealership. Definitely one of my favorite tools in my toolbox.

Vorteile:

As stated in the title it is a cheap and effective way to edit RAW and PSD files on the go without paying for adobes monthly subscription fees. I like how it is customizable toolbars and you can setup shortcuts to hop to features you need to us. It runs very smooth on my desktop and laptop with mid-grade specs.

Nachteile:

I feel some of the features are a bit outdated compared to photoshop, it takes a bit longer to do the same thing I could do in gimp/adobe.

Complete and very affordable

Kommentare: I enjoy using Affinity Photo and Affinity designer, both are great alternatives to Photoshop and Illustrator. Even if Affinity Photo is not perfect, the pricing remains its most attractive quality. The tools are not perfect and there is a learning curve if you come from Photoshop but Serif is doing a great job and their Workbooks are a great starting point to learn the rope. I highly recommend buying it as we never know prices might go up some day.

Nachteile:

- The project file formats are Affinity file formats, I understand some file formats are proprietary but it make sharing a project file complicated it you do not own Affinity Photo. - The interface sometimes gets slow and noticed a lot of CPU usage, not sure if it is my old Macbook or bad coding. I know that softwares are usually optimized for latest computers but feel Affinity is a bit memory hogging.

Affinty Photo gives Photoshop a run for it's money

Kommentare: It is very good, with timely updates and I'm able to my get my work done just like when I had Photoshop.

Vorteile:

I like that it's like Photoshop but half the price and it has a perpetual license.

Nachteile:

I was a little bummed it doesn't have a filter library, but it's not that bad that I wouldn't recommend it.

Kommentare: It's great. I've had no problems doing simple and complex image editing and manipulation tasks.

Vorteile:

It's fully featured and is a one-off purchase. It's great that you can also open Affinity Designer files in it too and vice versa.

Nachteile:

Haven't come across anything that I don't like about it yet.

Ditch PS. Affinity is what you need.

Vorteile:

First, price point wins all day long. Not only are you not having to remortgage your house, the program is so much more user friendly, so easy to download and set up, free stock, no need to sign up for 44 different things. Affinity is everything PS wants to be.

Nachteile:

The odd time, you have to dig for a feature that's front of eye in other programs. Key commands are sometimes a bit different

Affinity Photo is a great alternative to Photoshop

Vorteile:

Price is the initial driver to move to Affinity photo. It offers all the facilities of a top end photo manipulation software package without the price. It does everything I need.

Nachteile:

Coming from Photoshop the learning curve to do certain things was the biggest hurdle, but not insurmountable. I do miss some of the enhancements of photoshop, but as I rarely used them all, I found other ways to achieve the same effect. Think photoshop in the 90's!

Affinity Photo User Friendly and Highly Recommended

Vorteile:

I love the section that allows me to edit RAW photos, it opens RAW photos automatically in the DEVELOP section. It opens RAWs of any brand of camera. Canon, Nikon, Pentax, etc.

Nachteile:

The software doesn't have a Lightroom like Adobe Photoshop.

Beautiful and powerful

Kommentare: We tried the app as soon as it was presented and shortly after we decided that, despite some missing features of the first versions, it would become our image editing software.
After years we do not regret the choice: the workflow runs fast and there are no limits.
The app is constantly developing also on the reports of us users.
No limits, very fast.

Vorteile:

UI and UX are the best, not for nothing the software has earned some design awards. Resources consumption is very good, so making changes and editing will be faster.

Nachteile:

In my option, the very lost feature is a fully compatibility with Adobe PS smart objects: we can use embedded files as a an alternative.

Affinity is a legitimate Photoshop competitor at a fraction of the price and no ongoing costs.

Vorteile:

Affinity Photo is a competent alternative to Adobe Photoshop, and one that does so with a cheap initial purchase price and no ongoing subscription costs. I have found that everything I have needed to do in Photoshop can be done in Affinity, however sometimes the workflow is slightly different so taking a short training course it's definitely worth it. Affinity seems a lot faster and less buggy than Photoshop in a lot of areas. There are also some places in which Affinity Photo is better than Photoshop. For example, Affinity gives a preview of the effect the tool selected will do to the image so you can get it perfect before committing to any modifications. Additionally, having separate personas that you choose depending on what you wish to do to the image helps cut down on clutter and allows you to focus better.

Nachteile:

I haven't experienced any issues with the software, with the only negative being that if you are accustomed to another piece of software it can take some time to adjust. It can be difficult to find tutorials, and unless you are willing to pay money for a course there is a lot of trial and error.

A great PS alternative

Kommentare: Firstly, I hate paying for an expensive monthly subscription. Affinity has a pay once w/ free upgrades within the same major version. Its on V 2.x and version 1.x is still a good program just no longer updated.Sure there are some features in PS that are missing (eg AI and a the more esoteric editing tools) but if you just want a solid image editor that has an Illustrator type companion, check out Affinity

Has all the basic image editing tools I need. For a newbie there are sufficient YT tutorials to get you started along with a useful FB users group

Nachteile:

Its workflow and interface took some getting use to and it does crash occasionally. There are times when I am lazy that it came with a bunch more brushes and presets built in out of the bow

BEST PRICE, Quality and Ease of Use!

Kommentare: I bought this because I was working on a project that needed CMYK and it was taking a few months. The monthly cost of Adobe was annoying. Some months I wasn't even opening the program. Additionally, when I did open it I would need to wait (and wait and wait) for updates. When I purchased Affinity it was a one-time cost and I still get the updates (which have been less frequent). Additionally, I had a hard time learning Adobe. I've used GIMP for about 15 years and the only reason I needed Adobe was for the CMYK exported files. Adobe was complicated for me to learn even with a lot of instructions and tutorials over a few months. I was able to quickly learn how to use Affinity the tutorials are succinct and the software is brilliant!

Vorteile:

Price: A One-Time Price (instead of a monthly subscription). CYMK: This is a required color mode for most professional printing. The settings are simple and the output is gorgeous! Ease of use: Much easier than Adobe to learn and to use. Multiple app options (I am using windows desktop) and multiple languages!

Nachteile:

Three Platforms: The primary CON is there are three software programs (Photo, Publisher, and Designer) from this company that are each sold and used separately. The good thing is, now we can toggle between them, seemingly on the fly making it easier to use different features on the same artwork. But, they are still stand-alone when it comes to updates, so each program will need to be updated individually, be sure to update each one when they have updates to download and install.

A photo editor worth the try... because you'll stay

Kommentare: I came from Photoshop to Affinity and loved it. I use this everyday to give my clients great products like online ads, photo retouches, photo editing, compositions... wow... all
And the digital drawing is such a big feature for me that I can create smooth lines at ease.

Vorteile:

The price. It's inexpensive compared to Photoshop. But not only that, it's set of tools are top-level and give you all the fluidity and smoothness when working with photos that you won't miss Photoshop. And not only for photos but for graphic design as well, it lets you create Instagram ads or a cover for a document. I also use Affinity Photo for sketching and drawing, I bought a set of tools and I've been using this for hand drawings for a book, great results.

Nachteile:

Affinity is slowly getting it's hype. So, while we get there, you'll find that there are brushes and plugins for Photoshop all over the internet but not for Affinity Photo. So... we need to wait a bit.

An awesome photo editor at a pocket friendly price

Kommentare: The Affinity Photo is a great software and very capable in editing photos as well as creating composites. It is serving my purpose very well and runs well on my old laptop with i3 processor.

Vorteile:

The editing capabilities of Affinity Photos are at par with the Adobe Photoshop and it does the job at a much cheaper acquisition cost.

Nachteile:

There is no accompanying mobile app to facilitate editing on the go.

A great alternative for Photoshop

I'm new to the photo editing hobby and wanted something similar to Photoshop but at a better cost. Affinity photo was the perfect solution to that! I love that it features basically everything that Photoshop does but at a fraction of the price. Nice interface, smooth interactions, and very accessible on my iPad

Nachteile:

There's a pretty steep learning curve when getting started with this software. I had only minimal photoshop knowledge, and figured that this app would have some tutorials or walkthroughs to help me on my editing journey. I was able to find some on YouTube but would have preferred some examples on the app instead.

User friendly, cost effective professional photo editing

Easy to use and can use photoshop psd files keeping the layers intact. I can do everything that I used to do in Adobe Photoshop without the subscription model.

Nachteile:

Better plugin support for third party plugins.

I absolutely love Affinity Photo

Kommentare: I use Affinity for virtually all of my personal projects. It's a staple of my workflow and I love using it. I'd recommend it to basically anybody who needs to edit photos.

Vorteile:

I stumbled onto Affinity years ago when I was too poor to afford a subscription to photoshop and wasn't adept enough to use GIMP proficiently. A few hours of messing around and a couple video tutorials later and I was using it pretty comfortably. It's followed me through several job and career changes and I'll be using it for years to come I'm sure.

Nachteile:

There's REALLY not much to dislike. If I had to pick something it's that I don't think I can download a version for PC if I've paid on Mac. Small complaint but if I could use Affinity on my work computer I would be.

Fantastic Value for Money

The software is very inexpensive for all the features that it offers, which is fantastic value for money for a one off payment. The features are really simple to use, which anyone with basic IT skills could learn quickly.

We haven't discovered any features on this software which we dont find useful yet!

Best Photo editing for web designers

Kommentare: You can create large professional quality images as well as simple images for social media and web design.

Vorteile:

The tools for photo editing and graphics are state of the art, compared to the recognized brand. The price is unbeatable. The stability is very good and it is cross platform. For those who edit pictures this is the way to go,

Nachteile:

Some learning curve worth taking. Some features take an extra step to achieve.

A nice complement to Affinity Designer.

Kommentare: Although I don't heavily edit photos, it is a great tool to use in conjunction with Affinity designer. It is a nice tool when you need a quick and easy way to edit photos. It has the more powerful features, which I have played around with and these are very good, but it is a much less overwhelming tool that can fit a variety of needs unlike Photoshop.

Vorteile:

Easy to use and great for editing photos. It has a comparable level of features to Photoshop, which are just as powerful, and in some cases are even better. The interface is very intuitive and it is a pleasure to use.

Nachteile:

Some compatibility issues with some types of files.
