Vorteile:

Intuitive Bedienung, klare Strukturierung; eigene Struktur im System möglich; Automatisierungen möglich

Nachteile:

Dockerapplikation ist etwas speziell; man muss sich damit erst beschäftigen. Aber es funktioniert reibungslos

Kugler GmbH goes to LogicalDOC

Kommentare: Ich kann nur sagen, dass die Software einen sehr guten und stabilen Eindruck bei der Firma Kugler hinterlässt.

Vorteile:

Sehr einfache Bedienung, trotzdem sollte man eine Schulung Buchen. (Admin) Schnelles Auffinden und schneller Zugriff auf Dokumente, usw. Alle Mitarbeiter können über einen Internetbrowser auf die Software zugreifen.

Nachteile:

Wir hatten einige Probleme mit der Berechtigungsstruktur am Anfang für die Mitarbeiter. Administration war auch am Anfang ein wenig holperig. Große Nachteile gab es bei der Software eigentlich nicht, alles wurde sehr Zeitnah gelöst.

Results are different to Xerox Docushare

Kommentare: We decided with the company I work with as freelance to migrate the old docushare version they had (6.5) to LogicalDoc as it offered most of the desirable features.
The issue was that comparing the results having the same documents in the database and recently indexed, what prevented us to leave LogicalDoc as the replacement of docushare was that LogicalDoc showed different results.
After this, we analyzed the documents presented thinking that maybe LogicalDoc had a better algorithm than Docushare, but unfortunately no, my client called it "inaccurate". The list of the documents presented by LogicalDoc missed the most important documents shown as the most accurate ones by Docushare.
All documents stored had the following extensions: .doc, .docx, pdf, rtf. Thank you, Alexander Rojas

Customer support is almost close to none. For deploying updates, we were required by the support team to pay a specific support fee. For a user that has a valid subscription, this is a bit outrageous.

Manage and Automate Document Workflows with LogicalDOC

Kommentare: Overall, we had a good experience with LogicalDOC. It is a powerful document management system that provides all the features we need to store, manage and share documents. The search and sorting functions are great, and the document versioning feature is a real plus. The lack of customization options is the only drawback we found.

LogicalDOC is a powerful document management system that has been a great help to our team. We have been using it for a while now and have found it to be intuitive to use, with an easy to navigate UI and a host of features that make it easy to store, manage and share documents. The search and sorting functions are very useful and it makes it easy to find the documents we need. The document versioning feature is also great for tracking changes over time.

Nachteile:

One downside of LogicalDOC is the lack of customization options. Often we find that the default settings do not quite fit our needs and there is no easy way to change them.

LogicalDoc - Powerful System File Management

Kommentare: This system is so easy to use and maintain. The price point is excellent since we are a smaller company and need to be mindful of the cost. It provides a lot of features for the price and does exactly what we need at this point in time.

Vorteile:

LogicalDoc is very intuitive to use - it can look like the file system used on a PC. However, it has powerful document management tools so that you can exactly who is accessing documents at any time. It is especially easy to preview a document and see the contents without downloading. Another very powerful tool is the "Edit with Office" feature. Any Microsoft office document can be edited directly within the software with using the "checkin - checkout" feature which saves valuable time since downloading and uploading can be avoided and you can go right to work. Document access can easily limit access to documents and the system clearly shows who has accessed documents.

Nachteile:

The workflow tool is a little difficult to program, in my opinion. Since I am a non-techie and our company has limited tech support, it was time-consuming for me to set up the workflows we use. The documentation provided is typical for software - it explains how to set up the system but not best practice on using the various features. The LogicalDoc team did provide some companies who were using the system so that I could connect with them. That helped somewhat.

Easy to implement and use

Kommentare: Overall, tech support is very good addressing issues when they arise, but we have had very few issues with our installation and we love the product! Since we have a lot of documents and especially emails to file daily by several people, this product fulfills the requirement of being easy to use and maintain. Product support of the technical aspect of the database is always quickly addressed, but I feel there are many more features of the software I could be using but am not able to determine how to use them or in what situation to use them (I am NOT a tech-oriented person!), but that seems typical with many softwares. Since we are a small company, we are unable to spend a lot on individualized product training but I would love to attend a user conference and network with other users. The company has provided some user references to contact but I have not had any luck in having contacts return my calls.

Vorteile:

My co-workers loved that it looks like a typical folder filing system. I personally love the add-ons that allow filing directly to the database from Microsoft products (Outlook, Excel, word etc.) and the "edit with Office" feature. It's very easy to set implement and easy to use. It addresses our concerns for data privacy since we have our own cloud version maintained by LogicalDoc at a VERY affordable price.

Nachteile:

I would like to have the option to file Acrobat pdfs directly to the database similar to Microsoft products. I feel that product documentation could be more robust and I have needed to create my own user initial set-up and training documentation to enable users to utilize the system without my intervention.

LogicalDoc Experience

Kommentare: The Product is Good but the policy for partners in selling product is not as per standard, like they don't refer the cases to partners they directly deal with them where in other partnership every query is referred to Partners from where it comes.

Vorteile:

The product is easy to install, use and manage. It has builten workflow module with good features

Nachteile:

Input Forms is very simple No GUI interface available. Multi Record Entry is Very difficult as every single cell need to be entered instead of Row.

LogicalDoc - Transition to paperless!

Kommentare: Great support when required, very easy to use

Vorteile:

We loved how advanced the OCR in logicaldoc is and the fact we can mount external SMB shares

Nachteile:

The indexing sometimes stops working and we need to contact support, but this may be due to we are using the appliance install

Great product, exceptional support

Kommentare: We have 7 different sites and we had terrible issues with disconnected network shares, and muddled security through active directory. Not to mention documents being lost or overwritten. Nobody knew where to find anything, so we had so many duplicated documents and illogical folder structures. We have rationalised our entire organisational structure, and we use folder templates a lot to ensure we don't get into a mess again. We can pull documents into the repository via email and we can integrate with other systems. Using version control and rebuilding our security model from the ground up has improved efficiency.

Vorteile:

Before we implemented LogicalDOC there was a lot of resistance and opposition to such a big change in working practice. It was only a matter of weeks before users were telling me how happy they were and how easy it was. The interface is very intuitive - users understand immediately what they are looking at. It integrates with Office, so we just carry on using the same tools as before. Remote access is a breeze, and we have integrated it with our staff intranet. Now we have proper version control, we don't have documents being overwritten and we can manage duplication and organisation centrally. Finally, the support provided by LogicalDOC is second to none. I can't stress how important it is to have a skilled, responsive support team to call on in times of need.

Nachteile:

As with any "cloud" based technology, reliance on browsers. LogicalDOC used to work very well in Chrome, but we are having issues with that. Easy enough to provide access to alternative browsers, but it does interfere with productivity.

Great Document Management Software--Give LogicalDOC a try

Kommentare: Very robust and versatile software that has made it so much more easy for our company to track our files and improve our workflow. It is user-friendly, so it wasn't hard for us to pick up on its most essential features. As if that wasn't enough, it also has integration with Google Docs and Dropbox, so we're able to cover every base and have multiple contingency plans!

Vorteile:

It is fast, easy and smooth. It keeps our always ensures that it has the latest versions of our files stored.

Nachteile:

Not much, maybe better explanations for the more complex features.

Enterprise Document System at an Affordable Cost

Vorteile:

This is a very strong Enterprise document management solution that you can get at an affordable cost. The GUI is very easy to use and understand, the integration with Outlook and other Office products makes using the system quick and easy. From an IT standpoint, it uses minimal resources and has a small foot print.

Nachteile:

I least like that the support team is based in Italy, it makes working out issues some what challenging however - the hours that they are available they are quick to respond and very knowledgeable.

Comprehensive DMS at a reasonable price

Kommentare: We got a full-featured document management solution that didn't break the bank.

Vorteile:

The software packs a lot of functionality and provides our company with a solution that has scaled well as our document repository has grown in size.

Nachteile:

I wish they had US based support, but hopefully in time they will as the customer base grows. The Italian support group is good about responding to help desk tickets.

It's so good to see that specialized open source software projects are a vital alternative to overpriced proprietary "standard" products with often unnecessary features.
Overall, I can say its the best system I have tried out of the many systems available after extensive research and settled on.

'OLIG' is an engineering company which offers services in the following areas: geoinformatics, survey, planning, civil engineering and control of building regulations.
After an intensive search for a system for document management for our townships, clients and for our Geographic Information System (GIS) the focus lies on LogicalDOC because it conforms best to our requirements. Our most important criteria were as follows: programming interface (API), connection to Office, Web solution, easy handling, document versioning system, historization, mature and established search engine algorithm, deployed technology.
Most important is the programming interface that enables us to develop our own applications which communicate with DMS.
Such we developed an interface to our WebGIS which allows us to retrieve documents of the DMS.
The quick and uncomplicated support and the flexibility concerning customer requests is commendable as well.
Moreover the product outperforms with regard to the cost-performance ratio.
Conclusion: with the product LogicalDOC we could convince several clients of this solution. Cons:
There is nothing particularly negative to mention.

Kommentare: My organisation is glad to use LogicalDoc document management solution. It provided us easy access, quick retrieval and overall information managment. Having been using this DMS solution for over a year now, we are very satisfied with the product features and performance so far. In general, this is a great intuitive document management solution company with a great product and an excellent support team.
